This was taken on a Thursday night while I was getting dinner ready. This is what it looks like in our house while that is happening. My son is usually getting into things or playing with a toy. My daughter likes to sit on the couch and relax. She is one of those that needs down time after being around people all day. My dog takes up a couch all on her own like she owns the place. The laundry is in the photo, waiting to be folded. A typical evening in our life.
This was taken on a Tuesday evening. After dinner we were sitting on the couch enjoying some quiet time together. My son likes to snack on raisins after dinner from his snack cup. It used to have a lid on it, but he’s gotten good at not spilling so we have taken it off. Our dog loves to show us how much she would really appreciate any of the extra food one might not be in the mood to eat. How can you resist a face like that!?
I’ve finally finished posting all of the photos I took in April. Now to get caught up with the month of May. With a move coming up for us, its going to be a challenge to get caught up and stay caught up. My goal is to be able to post my last photo of this project on the actual day I take it. I have about 4 more months until that day.
The day I took this photo it was a warm day. We took the kids to my in-laws house to play in the pool. While we were there we decided to give our dog a much needed bath. She’s not exactly a fan of them, but she puts up with them. My daughter really wanted to help wash her this time. She did a really great job holding the hose so we could wipe the soap off our dog. It was a lot of fun having her help us with this activity. Our kids are learning to care for animals in such a great way at such a young age.
The day my dad flew home, my husband drove him to the airport. We asked both kids if they wanted to go along for the ride. My daughter jumped at the chance. She loves going to the airport to get them; equally loving the drop off. She is anxious to get on a plane herself one of these days to go visit him. You know what the means for momma. Time to get over that fear.
My son stayed home with me while they were gone. While he was playing quietly I took the opportunity to do some stuff around the condo. He loves to get his buckets out and explore the toys inside of them. It was a particularly warm day and the light was shining in through our balcony. Our dog just loves to sit in the son on those days. I loved how they were both sitting next to each other quietly doing their thing. It was the perfect photo opportunity.
