The camps I work on is full of really nice flowers. Right now is a gorgeous time of year. Everything is starting to bloom. It’s been really nice getting some before and after photos of these flowers. The day I took this photo, I noticed an Iris that was getting ready to bloom. There is a group of purples ones next to the walkway near the quad. They are really pretty and grow to be decent sized flowers. I got really lucky seeing it as a bud before the flower bloomed.
Blooms are showing up earlier this year than normal; at least it feels that way. My allergies are starting to kick in. They usually don’t get bad until March. I think the warmer weather we had for a while there brought on the early start of spring. I’ve noticed when I am walking around more blooms that weren’t there before. This photo is a plant with the prettiest shade of blue.
During the fall, I noticed this tree on our street that had magenta leaves. I often thought about photographing it for my project, but the opportunity did not present itself for one reason or other. Usually, I chose another photo for that day. Hopefully, before the project is over the leaves of this tree will turn back to that gorgeous deep magenta color so that I can add it to my collection.
Until then, I noticed the tree was starting to bloom. Now, I see this tree everywhere I go! I had never really noticed it before either. They are all over our neighborhood and the campus I work on. This particular one is by the gym that I go to on campus. I just love the color of the pink flowers on this tree.
Today, on the way to the gym I walked past the magnolia tree that was starting to show signs of blooming. I took a photo of the buds on the tree that day. That was day 099.365. Here we are just 12 days later and the flowers are in full bloom.
I made a mental note to myself to walk the same path on the way back to my office to grab a photo of the flowers. I just love magnolia trees.
