On campus there is a fountain that I walk by most days. The day I took this photo, I noticed some new plants had been planted around the fountain. I loved the wait the sun was shining on them, making their color pop even more. They are a lovely addition to this fountain.
Not much to write about this photo. This is yet another shot from campus. I was walking back from the gym to my office – big surprise – when this flower caught my attention. What I liked most was the background it was growing against. There were bunches of purple flowers growing behind it, giving such a lovely contrast. I remember in art school playing with colors opposite each other on the color wheel. My favorite combination was yellow and purple.
Day 172 was a photo of an Iris getting ready to bloom. Seven days later and here it is in all its glory. Truth be told, it could have bloomed sooner than they day I took the photo, I but I hadn’t walked that path to the gym since day 172. On this day, I was walking with a co-worker to the gym. We were going to workout together and while we were talking, I noticed the Iris’s bloomed! I stopped right away to look at and she says, you should take a photo. I said, you are right. I put my bag on the floor and grabbed my camera out of it and took this photo. I am excited to have a before and after of the Iris that was blooming. And, what a lovely shade of purple it is too – my absolute favorite.
